Thirteen-year-old Erika Kacicova, who went missing from her Sheffield home, has been found "safe and well" in Bradford.

Erika was found on her own in Centenary Square in the city centre at about 18:40 BST.

A third man, aged 41, from Bradford was arrested on Monday evening on suspicion of child abduction. He remains in police custody.

Erika's family have been informed and she is in the care of police officers.

Det Insp Helen Tate said: "It's a huge sense of relief. All sorts of things run through your mind during an investigation.

"It's fantastic news that we now have Erika safe and well and a successful conclusion to the search.

"Our primary aim now is to concentrate on Erika's well-being and begin to piece together her movements since she left home last Monday.

"We are working with local authority and partner agencies for the appropriate support for Erika and to assist with the investigation.

"I have personally been overwhelmed by the way the public and the media have responded to our appeals and I am extremely grateful for their help and support throughout this investigation."

Family's angst

The man arrested earlier on Monday is still in custody in Sheffield.

The 37-year-old was apprehended in Bradford on suspicion of child abduction and had been in contact with Erika in the past four days, police said.

A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of child abduction after handing himself in to police on Friday has been bailed.

Earlier, detectives said Erika's family had been "distraught" and her younger brother and sister had been "missing her terribly".

The search had centred on the Sheffield and Bradford areas where it was known the teenager has friends.
