A 14-year-old girl who went missing from Doncaster on Monday has been found "safe and well" in London.

Lorna Vickerage and John Bush, 35, were spotted by plain-clothes police officers.

South Yorkshire Police said they were found near Euston station at about 14:35 BST. Mr Bush has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction.

Detectives had been searching for them since Lorna disappeared from Outwood Academy in Adwick, South Yorkshire.

Sightings of the pair were reported in Doncaster, Leicestershire and Watford.

'Over the moon'

Lorna's mother Christine Vickerage made an appeal for her return earlier.

Speaking outside Doncaster police station, she said: "John, if you are watching this, please fetch our Lorna home please.

"Lorna, you're not in any trouble, just come home sweetheart."

The teenager's grandmother Diane said: "Lorna, we love you very much and we're missing you."

Det Ch Insp Craig Robinson said the family was "over the moon" she had been found.

He said: "I can now confirm that Mr Bush has been arrested at Euston station and at the time Lorna was with him. Both are safe and well.

"Lorna has now been taken to a safe place at a London police station.

"He is in a police cell... and will probably be brought back to South Yorkshire tomorrow to be interviewed."

Another 35-year-old man, from Askern, in Doncaster, who was arrested on suspicion of child abduction on Thursday remains in police custody.
