Sam Bailey has reportedly been dropped by Simon Cowell's record label Syco just 14 months after winning the X Factor - and has now set her sights on rival show Strictly Come Dancing.
The singer shot to fame on the singing contest, winning back in 2013 and going on to release a bestselling album.
But a source told The Sun: "Music is a tough business. Simon realises most X Factor winners have a short shelf life."
A spokesman confirmed Sam was no longer with the label to the paper, adding: "Sam Bailey is no longer with Syco."
Sam's album The Power of Love was one of the fastest selling albums of last year, and she has continued to storms stages across the world since winning the show.
What's next? Strictly?
The singer and mum has high hopes for the future however, and told the newspaper: "I'm really grateful for everything X Factor has done for me. I'm going straight into a studio to write after the tour.
"I would also maybe like to get into acting and I would love to do Strictly Come Dancing."
Showing her usual humour, the star added: "I'm happy I got my house extension - that's what I entered the competition for."
Well that's all that matters then.
We have contacted Sam's reps for comment.
