Rapper Young Jeezy turned himself over to authorities on Friday for battery, false imprisonment and making terrorist threats against his own son in a 2012 incident, TMZ first reported.

Police documents allege that the four-time Grammy nominated performer got into a fight with his son in a bathroom and threw his son into a glass shower door in September 2012.

Jeezy, born Jay Jenkins, then allegedly dragged his son into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and continued beating him, shouting threats like, "I will put a bullet in your head right now," the son claimed.

Jenkins bonded out of an Atlanta jail soon after his arrest Friday for $45,000, TMZ reported.

The rapper's attorney told the website, "We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family's privacy."
