Jamaican Dancehall singer J Capri has died

Dancehall artiste Jordan Phillips more popularly known as J Capri has died.

The singer succumbed to her injuries this morning at the University Hospital Of The West Indies (UHWI) in St. Andrew.

J Capri was hospitalised two weeks ago after being involved in a car accident along Barbican Road in Kingston at around 12:30 on November 23.

She was placed in a coma shortly afterwards, as family members appealed to the dancehall community and members of the public to donate blood on behalf of the dancehall rising star.

Doctors treating the young star had also predicted her full recovery

J Capri would have celebrated her 24th birthday on December 24.
