Fans boo Beyonce at V Festival

Beyonce was booed at Britain's V Festival after leaving fans waiting in the pouring rain.

The Grammy-award winning superstar, headlining Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex on Saturday, night took to the stage 20 minutes late.

A chorus of boos and jeers rung out before Beyonce began her set with her track Run the World (Girls), and sported her a new blonde hairdo.

She later thanked fans for waiting in the wet conditions, telling the crowd, "Thank you all so much for waiting in the rain... Now let's have some fun in the rain. It feels good doesn't it."

However, fans at home were also left reeling after Beyonce reportedly refused to give Channel 4 permission to televise her performance.

Presenters Edith Bowman and Steve Jones confirmed that they would not be screening the singer's 45-minute set, much to the disappointment of fans hoping to watch the pop sensation in action from their living rooms.
