Drunk Kim Wilde sings on Tube: Video goes viral

2012-12-15 18:36:34

Kim Wilde

You know what it's like in December.

You're on the tube, on the way home from work after a long day at the office, and some attention-seeking clown is loudly destroying the hits of Kim Wilde. Singing - if that's what you can call it - out loud. There's even some guy accompanying her on guitar.

You're just about to rebuke them when you notice that it is actually Kim Wilde. Yup, the real Kim Wilde. Wearing reindeer antlers. She's singing Kids In America.

To add to the amusement, the whole thing is captured on camera and posted to the internet and goes viral.

Best of all is the fact that the lady herself has the good humour to be self-deprecating about the situation by tweeting: 'truly, i am overwhelmed and confused at such a huge reaction to my night out on the tiles. Making me giggle a LOT: )'

That followed another good-humoured message: 'Trending? You'll all think i've pegged it :0.'

It seems Wilde was feeling merry after a night at the MagicFM Christmas Party and her good cheer was infectious.

The very amusing video has been a big hit with users as it goes viral as you can see from a brief sample of the reaction below;

@Simon_Burnton: 'Awesome: actual real Kim Wilde (drunk, wearing antlers) sings hits on tube'

@gabyhinsliff: 'best thing about p***** Kim Wilde on the Tube: stonyfaced commuters pretending it's not happening'
