Dappy has been found guilty of affray and one count of assault.

The 25-year-old N-Dubz star was appearing at Guildford Crown Court in Surrey along with two other men.

The court had been told Dappy sparked a "mob-handed attack" when he spat at Grace Cochran and Serena Burton, both 19. It happened at a Shell garage in Guildford on 28 February last year.

The jury convicted Dappy of affray and assault by beating, which involved him spitting at a man.

He has been found not guilty of two other counts of common assault, in which he was accused of spitting at but missing the two 19-year-old women.

Dappy was in court dressed in a black V-neck sweater. He sighed and shook his head when the verdicts were announced.

Kieran Vassell, 25, from Hammersmith was found guilty of affray.

Judge Neil Stewart adjourned the case for pre-sentence reports to be prepared on Dappy and Vassell.

The sentencing is set for 15 February and the pair were released on unconditional bail until then.

A third man, Kalonji Stewart, 32, from Harborne in Birmingham, was found not guilty of affray.
