Singer Bobby Brown has turned himself in to begin serving a 55-day jail sentence for his recent drink-driving conviction.
Brown's attorney and a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney's office say the R&B artist turned himself in at a California courthouse.
The former husband of the late singer Whitney Houston pleaded no contest last month to driving under the influence and driving on a suspended licence.
He will also begin serving four years of informal probation and will complete an 18-month alcohol treatment programme following his release.
The conviction is 44-year-old Brown's second for drink-driving in less than a year. He avoided jail after pleading no contest to a March 2012 case.
Brown and Houston were married for 15 years and divorced in 2007. Their 20-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, most recently starred in the reality TV show The Houstons: On Our Own.
In 2012 Bobby Brown married Alicia Ethredge, with whom he has a three-year-old son, Cassius.
