Simon Webbe, singer with boy band Blue, has been declared bankrupt.

In court papers filed on 25 September, the 35-year-old announced he had gone bust despite releasing an album with the group earlier this year.

Bandmate Duncan James filed for bankruptcy earlier in September under his real name Duncan Inglis.

A third group member, Antony Costa, has also spoken about his financial problems after the band originally broke up in 2005.

They released their fourth studio album in April.

Speaking to the BBC at the time they said they had previously had very little control over their image and sound.

They said that when their label told them their big comeback would be a greatest hits album, they had other ideas.

They also revealed that they had sent themselves to business school and worked out how to break free from their contract and go it alone.

The group said it had been a gamble and that they had called their latest album Roulette as a result.

Blue, whose line-up is completed by Lee Ryan, are on a UK tour.

In 2011 they represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, coming 11th with their song I Can.

They recently took part in ITV's The Big Reunion which saw groups including Atomic Kitten, 5ive and 911 reform and try to relaunch their music careers.
