Lady LeshurrLady Leshurr is up for a MOBO Award

Two acts from Birmingham have been nominated at the MOBO Awards 2015.

Lady Leshurr and Chos3n are both in with a chance of picking up awards at this year’s ceremony.

Birmingham MC Lady Leshurr, tipped as one to watch by the Guardian and recently featured on a new mural in Digbeth, has been nominated for Best Hip Hop act.

Her most recent track Queen’s Speech Ep 4 has over 6 million views on YouTube and she has been featured on Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World.

Gospel trio Chos3n have been nominated for Best Gospel act.

They released their debut album We Are Chos3n in May on independent label Daisy Records.

Chos3nChos3n are up for a MOBO Award

The trio said: "We are thrilled and feel very blessed.

"It is a wonderful surprise to even have been considered for such a prestigious award, we are very excited to have our music listened to by a wider audience and even more so that it is the 20 year celebration of the Mobo's."

The Mobo Awards 2015 take place in Leeds on Wednesday, November 4.
