An Indiana teen stabbed his dad after being told to pull up his pants, police said.

Cody Burns,18, allegedly flew into a rage after his father suggested he smarten up his appearance.

The New Albany Senior High School graduate is said to have run into their home's kitchen to grab a knife.

He then returned and thrust the blade into the left side of his dad's chest.

Cops were called and found blood on the floor where he was sitting.

His father was hospitalized, with a probable cause affidavit saying his injuries were not life threatening.

Burns was taken to Floyd County Jail where he is on $75,000 bond.

He faces a charge of battery by means of a deadly weapon after the Tuesday incident.

WLKY reports another person, at the home in New Albany , witnessed the incident.
