Georgina Campbell and Jason Watkins have taken home the big prizes at Sunday night's Bafta TV Awards for Murdered By My Boyfriend and The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies respectively.

The actors beat stiff competition from the likes of Cilla's Sheridan Smith, Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch and The Missing's James Nesbitt, with all three hotly-tipped shows failing to pick up a gong all night.

Both Campbell and Watkins' roles were hard-hitting, with Campbell playing a teenage domestic violence victim in a drama based on a real-life story and Watkins playing the retired schoolteacher wrongly-accused of murdering Joanna Yeates.
