Amber Jacobs, 6, to be crowned world's youngest DJ

2012-10-17 19:55:16

Amber Jacobs is playing at an event later this month where she will be crowned the youngest DJ on the airwaves by Guinness World Records.

For the past six months, she has had a slot with her father Steve on internet station TBFM Online. But if you tune in expecting Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian, prepare for a surprise.

Amber, or DJ AJ as she's known, much prefers heavy metal wildmen such as Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie. 'I play rock music - I like it way more than anything on The X Factor,' said Amber, of Pershore, Worcestershire.

'I enjoy playing my favourite songs and being in control of the desk.'

Mr Jacobs said: 'During her section, she chooses the music and cues the tracks. She talks about her favourite bands and what she's been up to at school with her friends.

'She's a natural and the feedback has been phenomenal. But when she's not live on air, she's just a regular six-year-old girl who likes watching SpongeBob Square Pants.'

Amber will go in the record books when she hosts her own show at The Swan Inn in Evesham on October 28.
