A 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a teenager on a bus in the West Midlands, it has emerged.

Police said the woman was on a number 41 bus in West Bromwich when four young men began talking to her and making "inappropriate comments".

The woman, who was with another family member at the time, tried to get away from the teenagers but they grabbed her and assaulted her.

Details of the attack, at 15:00 GMT on 7 January, have only just emerged.

Officers have now released CCTV images of some men they want to speak to in connection with the attack, which happened as the bus was near the Westminster School.

The woman described her attacker as being about 17 years old, of mixed race and about 5ft 1in tall. He was said to be slim and clean shaven, with three stripes shaved into one eyebrow and two in the other.

He was said to have been wearing a grey baseball cap with a peak worn at the back, a black T-shirt with a Nike logo on the left breast and black tracksuit bottoms, worn low on his hips.

PC Kate Baglin said the woman had been "left terrified" by the attack.
