Wolverhampton stabbing leaves woman seriously injured

A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing at a house in Wolverhampton which left a woman seriously injured, police said.

The attack happened at a property in Ingelby Gardens, Whitmore Reans, at 15:20 GMT on Saturday.

West Midlands Police said the woman, aged in her 30s, remains in hospital.

A 54-year-old man was arrested shortly after the attack, a force spokesman said.
