Two men seriously injured in Walsall Town attack

A man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after being attacked in the West Midlands.

The attack happened in Madison Avenue, Walsall, at about 00:20 BST on Saturday.

The 28-year-old man suffered a serious head injury while a second man was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the investigation was at an early stage and appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Det Insp Gary Dring said: "We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a dark-coloured saloon car in Madison Avenue at the time."
