Smethwick murder: Woman and two men charged

Three people have been charged with murdering a man who was found collapsed in a West Midlands street.

Barry Shillam, 52, from Smethwick, was found with serious injuries in Brook Street early on Thursday.

He died later in hospital. A post-mortem examination has been conducted and further tests are due to be carried out to establish a cause of death.

A woman, 39, and two men, aged 40 and 46, appeared at Sandwell Magistrates' Court earlier.

West Midlands Police said two other people arrested in connection with the death were later released without charge.
