Shots were fired at a car in Birmingham before four people were assaulted in what is believed to be a "targeted attack".

Police were called to the Alum Rock Road area just before 22:00 BST on Wednesday.

The vehicle from which the shots were fired came to a stop and the four people in the other car were then assaulted.

Two men were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
