Premises that have failed food hygiene inspections

A total of 147 restaurants, pubs and other premises preparing food in Birmingham and Walsall have failed to meet minimum food hygiene standards in 2014 so far.

Each premises failed to reach the minimum three out of five-star rating introduced by the Food Standards Agency.

Each business is scored out of five on the aggregate of three separate categories.

The first is on basic hygiene, such as how clean the premises are, the second is on structure while a third category focuses on management of hygiene, such as good record keeping.
