Police negotiators talk man down from Birmingham ledge

Several roads have reopened in Birmingham after a man at the top of a multi-storey car park was safely talked down.

Officers were called to Albert Street at about 15:15 GMT after members of the public reported seeing a man near the edge of the building, police said.

"The teen who'd been on a ledge of a multi-storey car park in Albert Street has been talked down by police negotiators. All roads reopened," a statement said.

Albert Street, Dale End, Priory Queensway, Masshouse Lane, Moor Street, High Street and Moor Street Queensway were closed for several hours.
