Police appeal after 12-yr-old Balsall Heath girl goes missing

Police appealed to Eltaje Aiken to get in touch

Police are searching for a 12-year-old girl who has been missing from her West Midlands home for more than a day.

Eltaje Aiken left her aunt's home in Vincent Street, Balsall Heath, between 10:00 BST and 14:00 BST on Monday.

Insp Jonathan Ashman said: "Our concerns are growing for Eltaje with every passing hour and we want to get her found as quickly as possible."

Eltaje is black, about 5ft 2in tall, with shoulder-length black hair, hazel eyes and has a Birmingham accent.

She is of medium build and was believed to be wearing a white shell suit top and black leggings.

Mr Ashman added: "We need you to help us share her photo far and wide - if you think you've seen her or know where she might be, please get in touch with our officers on 101 as soon as you can.

"I also want to appeal directly to Eltaje − please get in touch with us to let your friends and family know that you are safe and well."

He said anyone with information could also contact the Missing People charity on 116 000.
