Man stabbed in the head in Kates Hill, Dudley

A man is in a "serious condition" in hospital after being stabbed in the head on his doorstep in Dudley.

The 65-year-old was also stabbed in the shoulder, chest and back during the assault in Owen Street, Kates Hill, just before 18:15 GMT on Tuesday.

West Midlands Police believes the man responsible for the attack is in his early twenties.

Acting Det Insp Greg Evans said he understood the culprit had sustained facial injuries.

"We are checking with local hospitals and would appeal for him to come forward and seek what may be urgent treatment," he said.
