A man suffered neck wounds in an attack with a knife in Birmingham city centre.

Part of Corporation Street and surrounding areas were cordoned off by police after the attack at about 22:40 BST on Thursday.

A 40-year-old man who has not been named, suffered a neck wound but is said to be in a stable condition after undergoing surgery.

Officers are trawling through CCTV footage and have urged anyone who was in the area to contact them.
