Man falls from Bullring balcony in Birmingham

A man has fallen from a second floor balcony in the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham, police say.

West Midlands Police said the man had been taken to hospital.

At 09:30 GMT Bullring Birmingham tweeted: "We can confirm that an incident had taken place on the West Mall. We are working with the emergency services."

A small area of the Lower West Mall is closed but the rest of the centre was open as normal.
