A man has died at a Wolverhampton cardboard factory in a suspected industrial accident, police have said.

Emergency services were called to Onboard Corrugated Ltd, Neachells Lane, shortly after 15:50 BST on Friday.

An ambulance service spokesman said attempts were made to resuscitate the injured 37-year-old man but he was "confirmed dead at the scene".

Health and Safety Executive inspectors are due to visit the West Midlands factory on Monday.

No-one from the company was immediately available for comment.
