Man critically ill after convenience store stabbing

2013-04-04 16:01:09

Two men have been stabbed in a Birmingham convenience store, leaving one in a critical condition.

Both men, aged 21 and 24, are being treated in hospital after the attack at the Spar on Bristol Road at around 23:00 BST, on Wednesday.

Ch Insp Paul Marriott, of West Midlands Police, said: "One of the victims suffered very serious injuries."

The scene outside the shop remains sealed off so forensic examinations can be carried out.

Ch Insp Marriott said: "It seems an argument broke out just outside the store with a second group of people and that then led to these two men suffering stab wounds."
