Man brutally punched in face in unprovoked attack in betting shop

A man is brutally punched in the face in a bookies in this shocking footage released by police.

The 37-year-old victim was assaulted in William Hill, Bargate Drive in Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton .

Police described the assault happened on Friday 4 September just after 6pm as ‘unprovoked’. They have only just released details of the incident.

Detective Constable Sam Kirk, from Force CID said: “This is a particularly nasty unprovoked attack. The victim is receiving on-going treatment for his injuries including a broken nose and damage to his eye.

“We urge anyone with information to get in contact to help us trace this man as quickly as possible”

Anyone with information about the crime should call DC Kirk on 101. Information can also be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
