A pervert pounced on a woman waiting at a Birmingham bus stop and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on a 29A bus.

The 29-year old victim was waiting at the stop in Shenley Lane, Weoley Castle at around 6.50pm on April 22 when she was approached by the sex pest who asked her for the time.

The stunned victim was subjected to a sexual assault before her attacker exposed himself and performed an obscene act in front of the woman.

He eventually boarded the number 29A bus, before getting off in Harborne High Street.

Police have released images of a man they want to trace in connection with the incident.

He is described as a light-skinned Asian man, aged between 17-19 years, of slim build and 5ft 6-7ins tall.

He appeared to have deformed teeth and wore a dark coloured baseball cap on backwards, a grey zipped-up hooded top and jeans. He also carried a ‘Nike’ bag with a long shoulder strap.

DC Lyndsey Healy from Birmingham’s Sexual Offences Team, said: “The offender has been caught on CCTV getting onto the number 29A bus after the incident.

"I need anyone who can identify this man or who saw him in Shenley Road, or when he got off the bus in Harborne High Street to contact me on 101 or call Crimestoppers, confidentially on 0800 555 111”.
