A man has been found guilty of killing a friend in a fight organised to settle an argument between them.

Carlton Pollock, 25, from Birmingham, was found guilty of the manslaughter of Lance Gregory after a six-day trial.

Mr Gregory, 26, was found lying on the ground in Craig Croft, Chelmsley Wood, in the early hours of 11 November. He was stabbed once in the chest.

Pollock is due to be sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday.

Mr Gregory, who lived in Hatchford Walk, was taken to Heartlands Hospital, but later died.

Later that morning, Pollock handed himself in to officers at Solihull police station.

Detectives investigating the attack found that the pair had been drinking with other friends throughout the day and night of 10 November.
