A man has been kidnapped at knifepoint by two men claiming to be interested in buying his car.

The men turned up at the victim's home in Dudley at 10:40 BST on Monday and went for a test drive in his car.

Police said they pulled into a pub car park in Dibdale Road and threatened the man with a knife.

He was tied up, hooded and put in a car with cloned number plates, before being released more than six miles away in Brasshouse Lane, Smethwick.

Det Sgt Leighton Shingles said: "The violence shown by the two men has left the victim shaken but thankfully not seriously injured."

His Audi, which was later found in a car park in Moseley, will now be examined by forensic experts, police said.

Officers are looking for two Asian men in their mid-twenties.

One was tall and slim, had stubble and was wearing glasses with thick black frames. The second had short gelled hair and a patchy beard.
