Police are appealing for help to find 13-year-old Sharntay Dixon (pictured) who's been missing since 2pm on New Year's Eve.

Sharntay, who lives in Jubilee Gardens, Erdington, was last seen by the One Stop shop in Perry Barr.

She has links to friends and family in Walsall, Oldbury, Kingstanding, Erdington and Selly Oak.

She is described as a slim black girl, 4ft 6ins tall and was wearing a fake black fur coat, jeans and trainers when she was last seen.

Police have carried out checks at various addresses known to her but so far have been unable to locate the youngster.

"Anyone who believes they may have seen her is asked to call us on the 101 number."
