Police have released new CCTV footage in a bid to trace the attacker who left a man with life-changing injuries.

Richard Allen, 40, was attacked in Wolverhampton at about 03:00 GMT on 27 October as he walked along North Street.

He was left with a shattered eye socket and a broken nose.

The suspected attacker is described as Asian, 6ft tall, of slim build in his mid-20s wearing a brown jacket, light brown chino trousers and a flat cap.

'Completely unprovoked'

Elizabeth Allen said her brother's life had been changed as a result of the attack.

She said: "The injury has meant he hasn't been able to see any of his children over Christmas.

"His lifestyle has been severely affected by this and it is likely to affect him for the rest of his life."

Det Sgt Barbara Dale, from West Midlands Police described it as a "completely unprovoked attack that has had serious consequences".

She said officers wanted to hear from anyone with any information about the attacker or the women featured in the CCTV, who "may have vital information about what happened and who was responsible".
