Bristol Road double stabbing: 18-year-old charged

An 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and wounding after a double stabbing at a Birmingham convenience store.

The stabbings happened outside the Spar on Bristol Road in Edgbaston at about 23:00 BST on Wednesday.

A 24-year-old man remains in a critical condition, while a 21-year-old man suffered a serious arm injury.

The teenager was arrested on Thursday. He will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Both victims remain in hospital, West Midlands Police said.
