Body find at Erdington house prompts murder inquiry

A man's body has been found in Birmingham, prompting a murder inquiry.

Officers found the body after calling at the house on Kingsbury Road, Erdington, at 11.45 GMT.

Det Ch Insp Wayne Jones said: "Given the nature of the man's injuries we have launched a murder investigation and appeal for information from the public to aid our inquiries."

He urged three men who also lived at the house to come forward as officers wanted to confirm they were safe.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact West Midlands Police on 101 or Crimestoppers.
