Balsall Heath collision leaves pedestrian seriously injured

A pedestrian is being treated for serious injuries at a major trauma unit after being found lying in the road in Birmingham.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the woman was found on Stoney Lane, Balsall Heath, at about 02:45 GMT.

It is believed she was hit by a vehicle.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, is being treated at the Queen Elizabeth hospital for serious facial, head, leg and suspected pelvic injuries.
