Aston flat death: Man arrested on suspicion of murder

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man in a flat in Birmingham, police have said.

Officers were called to Barry Jackson Tower in Estone Walk, Aston, at around 21:20 GMT on Wednesday where a body was discovered.

West Midlands Police said a post-mortem carried out on Thursday found the man died of head injuries.

The flat has been sealed off while forensic investigations continue.

The victim, who has yet to be formally identified, is believed to be 52-year-old Mark Andrew Davies, a police spokesperson added.
