15-yr-old boy in critical condition after being stabbed on bus

A teenager is fighting for his life after being stabbed in the body and arm during an assault on the top deck of a bus in Birmingham.

Police were alerted to reports of a passenger being attacked on the number 14 bus in Alum Rock Road at about 7.20pm on Tuesday.

Some time later, a teenage boy was taken to a local hospital for treatment to various stab wounds.

The 15-year-old’s condition was described as ‘critical but stable.’

Witnesses were interviewed at the scene and detectives are following up several lines of enquiry.

However, an investigation into the incident is still continuing.
