Inspector Tim Draper, from Dudley Police, said: "We know that Dashiel attended school yesterday and that he has links to the Kings Norton area.

"We have been searching the area including a local park near to the school and local train stations.

"We are really eager to trace Dashiel and would appeal to anyone who may have seen him or know of his whereabouts to call us straight away.

"Dashiel's loved ones are obviously very worried and I would like to stress that Dashiel is not in any trouble and would appeal to him to call us or come into a local police station where we can ensure he is safe and well."
