Probation for father who tied up daughter for Facebook pic

A father arrested for binding his 22-month-old daughter with tape and posting a picture on Facebook, has been sentenced to 18 months of probation.

According to Newsone a judge ordered 22-year-old, Andre Curry, to "attend parenting classes and submit to periodic drug testing", after he was convicted of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery over the incident.

In the disturbing image the toddler was shown with her hands and feet bound with duct tape alongside the caption: "This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back."

Curry's lawyer was said to have argued that Curry was merely "having fun with the child" before claiming that she was not put in danger by the act.


The victcim's mother, Yesmin Doss, 20, told a court in Chicago that Curry is a loving father and the picture.

"It's just not what it's supposed to be," Doss is reported to have said through tears.

"He's been called a monster and stuff and Dre's just a great guy. He's just a great, a great father," she continued.
